Noticeboard

Important Notice

The Practice has been informed by the Health & Social Care Board that some patients have been contacted by “bogus callers” claiming to be linked to the Practice in order to sell products or extract financial information including bank details.

If you receive a call of this nature, DO NOT disclose any personal information and contact the surgery immediately.

Think - 3 before GP

GPs and their wider team need time to give patients the best care they possibly can. You can help free up time for those who really need expert advice by considering three alternatives before booking an appointment. Find out more - 3 Before GP

Out of Hours

LAGANDOC, the local out of hours provider, looks after the urgent needs of patients from 6.00 pm to 8.30 am weekdays, and 24 hours at weekends and bank holidays.  Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Appointments

Appointments can be made through reception. Telephone 028 9260 3111 or via this website with your login (ask at reception for details). Normal appointments are for 10 minutes only and cannot accommodate two people unless prior agreed by the doctor.  Please note that appointments that will require longer than 10 minutes such as minor surgical procedures or private medicals are not appropriate to book online and should be booked by telephone.

Repeat Prescriptions

You can order you repeat prescriptions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on the 24 hour repeat prescription line (02892603111 option 1) or through this website with your login (ask at reception for details).

PRACTICE EARLY CLOSURE

The Practice will be closed from 1pm on Thursday 30 January for staff training.  For urgent medical problems during these periods, please ring Lagandoc GP Out of Hours Service on 028 9260 2204.

Managing Coronavirus

To help reduce the potential spread of infection, we are advising ALL patients to phone before coming to the surgery.

When you ring us, our staff will ask you some questions to determine your condition.  Some of the questions may include if you have a temperature or a cough.  These questions help us to determine the best action to take but also helps protect our staff and other vulnerable patients.

If appropriate, you may receive a call back from a GP or be given other relevant advice.

If you need a repeat prescription, please use our 24 hour repeat prescribing line (028 92501289).  During the current Coronavirus pandemic, all prescriptions should go to a nominated chemist.  Please nominate your preferred chemist along with your name, date of birth, telephone number and medication you wish to order.

If you already have an appointment and developed a new temperature or cough/shortness of breath, please phone the surgery to discuss rather than attending your appointment.

There are a limited number of disabled car parking spaces available on the health centre site and the building itself has been adapted to accommodate disabled patients.

Practice Closures

The Surgery will be closed on the following Bank / Public Holidays:

Monday 13 April 2020

Tuesday 14 April 2020

Please ensure you order your repeat medication and have it dispensed by your pharmacist well in advance to ensure you do not run out of your medicines when the surgery and pharmacy are closed. This is particularly important during the Christmas and New Year period.

For urgent medical problems during these periods, please ring Lagandoc GP Out of Hours Service on 028 9260 2204.
